Special Issue on Geophysical and Geodynamics

Geophysics is the branch of the Earth Sciences that uses physical measurements and mathematical models to develop an understanding of what the Earth's interior is like, and how it works. Geophysics is the physics of the Earth and its environment in space; and study the Earth using quantitative physical methods. Geophysics is applied to societal needs, such as mineral resources, mitigation of natural hazards and environmental protection. Geophysical survey data are used to analyze potential petroleum reservoirs and mineral deposits, locate groundwater, find archaeological relics, determine the thickness of glaciers and soils, and assess sites for environmental remediation. 

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring geophysical and geodynamics. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Earthquakes and Volcanoes
• Energy
• Environment
• Earth structure and geodynamics
• Magnetosphere
• Space probes

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Geophysical and Geodynamics” should be chosen during your submission.
