Special Issue on Optical Fibers and Their Applications

An optical fiber or optical fibre is a flexible, transparent fiber made by drawing glass or plastic to a diameter slightly thicker than that of a human hair.[1] Optical fibers are used most often as a means to transmit light between the two ends of the fiber and find wide usage in fiber-optic communications, where they permit transmission over longer distances and at higher bandwidths than wire cables.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring optical fibers and their applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Optical fibers materials
    • Optical fiber cable
    • Fiber optic communication
    • Fiber optic sensor
    • Fiber lasers
    • Multi-mode optical fiber
    • Single-mode optical fiber
    • Special fiber
    • Applications
    • Advances and new developments

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Optical Fibers and Their Applications” should be selected during your submission.
