Special Issue on
Intercultural and Multicultural Education
Education
is becoming increasingly international. The most represented case is the spread of mass schooling and multicultural education. Mass schooling has implanted the
fundamental concepts that everyone has a right to be educated regardless of
his/her cultural background and gender differences. And multicultural education
is a process that permeates all aspects of school practices, policies and
organization as a means to ensure the highest levels of academic achievement
for all students. They help students develop a positive self-concept by
providing knowledge about the histories, cultures, and contributions of diverse
groups. What’s more, they prepare all students to work actively toward
structural equality in organizations and institutions by providing the
knowledge, dispositions, and skills for the redistribution of power and income
among diverse groups.
In this special issue, we are going to invite front-line
