Special Issue on Research of Insulin Resistance

Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas that helps unlock the body's cells so that sugar (glucose) from the food we eat can be used by the cells for energy. In insulin resistance, muscle, fat, and liver cells do not respond properly to insulin and thus cannot easily absorb glucose from the bloodstream. As a result, the body needs higher levels of insulin to help glucose enter cells.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring insulin resistance. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Signs and symptoms
• Associated risk factors
• Cause
• Pathophysiology
• Diagnosis
• Management

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Research of Insulin Resistance” should be selected during your submission.
