    Special Issue on Expert Systems

Expert systems are an area of artificial intelligence research that attempts to codify the knowledge and reasoning processes of a human expert into a computer program. The most common form of expert systems is a program made up of a set of rules that analyze information about a specific class of problems, as well as providing mathematical analysis of the problems, and, depending upon their design, recommend a course of user action in order to implement corrections.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Expert Systems. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Expert systems and artificial intelligence
    • Robotic systems
    • Geograhphic information systems
    • Image analysis, recognition and interpretation
    • Cellular automata methods for pattern recognition
    • Real-time fault tolerant control systems
    • CAD-based vision systems in pattern matching processes
    • Financial systems
    • Experimental design and decision support systems
    • Machine learning
    • Knowledge engineering
    • Software and requirements engineering
    • Human-computer interaction

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Expert Systems” should be selected during your submission.
