    Special Issue on Balance Problems


    Balance problems are conditions that make us feel unsteady or dizzy. When standing, walking or lying down, it may be accompanied by feelings of giddiness, or wooziness, or having a sensation of movement, spinning, or floating. The balance problems are often due to problems in the inner ear. The problems in other parts of the body such as the brain or the heart can also be the cause. Aging, infections, head injury, certain medicines, or problems with blood circulation may result in a balance problem.


    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Balance Problems. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Acoustic neuroma
    • Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo
    • Head injury
    • Labyrinthitis
    • Meniere's disease
    • Motion sickness
    • Vestibular neuritis
    • Vertigo-associated disorders

    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.


    Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Balance Problems” should be selected during your submission.
