Special Issue on
Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs): Protocols and Applications
Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) are finding different applications for offshore exploration and ocean monitoring. The applications range from oil industry to aquaculture, and include instrument monitoring, pollution control, climate recording, prediction of natural disturbances, search and survey missions, and study of marine life.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs): Protocols and Applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Underwater localization
-
PHY layer optimization
-
MAC and routing protocols
-
Security issues and secure routing
-
Energy efficient cross-layer policies
-
Time efficiency and real-time applications
-
Multimedia UWSNs
-
UWSNs and environmental monitoring
-
Ad-Hoc topology in military usages
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs): Protocols and Applications” should be selected during your submission.
