Special Issue on Linear Algebra and Its Applications
Linear algebra concerns vector spaces and linear mappings between such spaces. It includes the study of lines, planes, and subspaces, but is also concerned with properties common to all vector spaces. Techniques from linear algebra are also used in analytic geometry, engineering, physics, natural sciences, computer animation, advanced facial recognition algorithms and the social sciences. Because linear algebra is such a well-developed theory, nonlinear mathematical models are sometimes approximated by linear models. As one of most important roles in the mathematical analysis, linear algebra is of great attractions to researchers.
In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore linear algebra and its applications. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Vector spaces
-
Linear transformations
-
Subspaces, span, and basis
-
Eigenvalues and eigenvectors
-
Solution of linear systems
-
Fourier series expansion
-
Quantum mechanics
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Linear Algebra and Its Applications” should be selected during your submission.
