Special Issue on Escherichia Coli

Escherichia coli is a Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium of the genus Escherichia that is commonly found in the lower intestine of warm-blooded organisms. Most E. coli strains are harmless, but some serotypes can cause serious food poisoning in their hosts, and are occasionally responsible for product recalls due to food contamination.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring Escherichia coli. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Culture growth characteristics
  • Metabolism and cell cycle
  • Genetic adaptation
  • Genetic and phenotypic diversity
  • Genome plasticity and evolution
  • Genomics and proteomics research
  • Pathogenic E. coli
  • Role in biotechnology
  • Model organism

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Escherichia Coli” should be selected during your submission.
