Special Issue on Chloroplasts Research

Chloroplasts' main role is to conduct photosynthesis, where the photosynthetic pigmentchlorophyll captures the energy from sunlight and converts it and stores it in the energy-storage molecules ATP and NADPH while freeing oxygen from water. They then use the ATP and NADPH to make organic molecules from carbon dioxide in a process known as the Calvin cycle. Chloroplasts carry out a number of other functions, including fatty acid synthesis, muchamino acid synthesis, and the immune response in plants.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring chloroplasts. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Chloroplast lineages and evolution
  • Chloroplast DNA
  • DNA replication
  • Chloroplast structure
  • Distribution in a plant
  • Function and chemistry
  • Differentiation, replication, and inheritance

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Chloroplasts Research” should be selected during your submission.
