Special Issue on Carbon Materials
Carbon is
a truly remarkable element which can exist as one of several allotropes. It is
found abundantly in nature as coal or as natural graphite, and much less
abundantly as diamond. Carbon materials range from diamond and graphite through
semicokes, chars, mesophase substances, carbons, carbynes, carbon fibers, carbon
nanotubes and fullerenes, etc. The expansion of carbon materials is
multidisciplinary and is related to physics, chemistry, biology, applied
sciences and engineering.
In this special issue, we intend to invite
front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review
articles on exploring Carbon Materials. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Carbon based nanostructured materials
-
Carbon nanotubes and graphene
-
Ta-C materials and other carbon materials
-
Carbon Raman spectroscopy
-
Theory of quantum electronic atomic rearrangement
-
Synthesis and characterization of carbon
materials
-
Modification/functionalization of carbon
materials
-
Carbon materials for catalysis
-
Bioimpact of carbon nanomaterials
-
Application in environmental and energy related
fields
-
Other applications of carbon materials
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully
before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of
their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Carbon
Materials” should be selected during your submission.
