Special Issue on Conjugated Polymers

Conjugated polymers are organic macromolecules that are characterized by at least one backbone chain of alternating double- and single-bonds. Due to the fact that the overlapping p_z-orbitals of the carbon atoms which forms the delocalised π-orbitals of the alternating double-and single-bonds (i.e. the single and double bonds becomes similar). Furthermore, the π-electrons can be easier moved from one bond to the other, which can lead to interesting and useful electronic and optical properties.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Conjugated Polymers. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Applications of conjugated polymers
• Molecular design of conjugated polymers
• Synthesis and characterization of conjugated polymers
• Mechanism of conductivity in conjugated polymers
• Properties of conjugated polymers
• Functionalization of conjugated polymers

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
