Special Issue on Polysaccharide Research

Polysaccharides are polymeric carbohydrate molecules composed of long chains of monosaccharide units bound together by glycosidic linkages and on hydrolysis give the constituent monosaccharides or oligosaccharides. They range in structure from linear to highly branched. Examples include storage polysaccharides such as starch and glycogen, and structural polysaccharides such as cellulose and chitin. As one of most important branches in the pure mathematics, polysaccharide research is of great attractions to researchers.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore polysaccharide research. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Function
  • Storage polysaccharides
  • Structural polysaccharides
  • Acidic polysaccharides
  • Bacterial capsular polysaccharides
  • Chemical identification tests for polysaccharides
  • Plant polysaccharide

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Polysaccharide Research” should be selected during your submission.
