Special Issue on Lung Cancer

Lung cancer is a disease characterized by uncontrolled cell growth in tissues of the lung. Most cancers that start in lung, known as primary lung cancers, are carcinomas that derive from epithelial cells. The main types of lung cancer are small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC), also called oat cell cancer, and non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). The most common cause of lung cancer is long-term exposure to tobacco smoke. Nonsmokers account for 15% of lung cancer cases, and these cases are often attributed to a combination of genetic factors, radon gas, asbestos, and air pollution, including secondhand smoke.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring lung cancer. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Basic Biology of Lung Cancer
  • Clinical Assessment
  • Detection and Screening
  • Epidemiology and Etiology
  • Lung Cancer Surgery
  • Non-Small-Cell Lung Carcinomas
  • Lung Cancer Chemotherapy

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Lung cancer” should be chosen during your submission.
