Special Issue on
Role
of the Hippocampus in Learning and Memory
Hippocampus is a
brain area associated with memory formation and also plays an important role in
learning process. On 17 August, Nature Neuroscience published a paper which suggests
that changes in the hippocampus could help to explain how children eventually
pick up efficient strategies for mathematics, and why some children learn more
quickly than others. As one of the most important research fields of brain sciences, hippocampus is of great attractions to
researchers.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on
exploring role
of the hippocampus in learning and memory. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Hippocampus and
Sequence Learning
-
Hippocampus and
Context
-
Hippocampus Structures
and Memory
-
short-term memory
-
long-term memory
-
spatial learning
-
spatial memory
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should
submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission
System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript
title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Role of the Hippocampus in Learning and
Memory” should be chosen during your submission.
