Special Issue on Advances in Carbohydrate
Chemistry
Carbohydrates are a common class of simple
organic compounds. Recently, with the development of modern separation and
analysis techniques, the importance of carbohydrate compounds in biological
activity has been increasingly recognized. Carbohydrates are implicated in
intercellular recognition, bacterial and viral infection processes, the fine
tuning of protein structure, the inflammation event and some aspects of cancer.
This broadening of carbohydrate activity has caused a renaissance in structure
determination and synthetic activity. The goal of this special issue is to
provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to
promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of carbohydrate chemistry.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring advances in
carbohydrate chemistry. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Synthesis of carbohydrate compounds
-
Reactions of monosaccharides
-
Glycoconjugates and glycobiology
-
Separation and purification of carbohydrates
-
Protecting groups in carbohydrate
-
Analysis and structural characterization of carbohydrate
-
Carbohydrate-based drugs
-
Applications of polysaccharide (Medicine, Biology, Food science, Biochemistry, etc.)
Authors
should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please
kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is
supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Advances in Carbohydrate Chemistry” should be chosen during your submission.
