Special Issue on Radiation Protection

Radiation protection, sometimes known as radiological protection, is the science and practice of protecting people and the environment from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation. Ionizing radiation is widely used in industry and medicine, and can present a significant health hazard. It causes microscopic damage to living tissue, which can result in skin burns and radiation sickness at high exposures, and statistically elevated risks of cancer at low exposures. As one of hottest topics in research subjects, radiation protection is of great attractions to researchers.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore radiation protection. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Measuring radiation exposure from various sources
• Radiation protection dosimetry
• Radiation measurements, and environmental problems
• Radiation biology
• Operational radiation protection
• Development of instrumentation for radiation protection
• Nuclear and radiological emergency preparedness
• Radiation protection standards
• Radiological safety aspects in the application of radiation /radioisotopes in industry

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly note that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title should be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Radiation Protection” should be selected during your submission.
