Special Issue on Intercurrent Disease in
Pregnancy
Intercurrent
Disease in Pregnancy is a disease that is not directly caused by the pregnancy, but may become worse
or be a potential risk to the pregnancy. A major component of this risk can
result from necessary use of drugs in pregnancy to manage the disease. In
such circumstances, an extra medical care is needed for women who wish to
continue with a pregnancy. To know the mechanism, causes and treatment of these
intercurrent diseases may reduce the risk of pregnancy.
In
this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to
submit original researches and review articles on exploring intercurrent
disease in pregnancy. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Endocrine disorders
-
Hypercoagulability
-
Infections
-
Valvular heart disease
-
Autoimmune disorders
-
Use of drugs in
pregnancy
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should
