Special Issue on Aerodynamics

Aerodynamics is a branch of dynamics concerned with studying the motion of air, particularly when it interacts with a solid object, such as an airplane wing. Aerodynamics is a sub-field of fluid dynamics and gas dynamics, and many aspects of aerodynamics theory are common to these fields. The term aerodynamics is often used synonymously with gas dynamics, with the difference being that "gas dynamics" applies to the study of the motion of all gases, not limited to air. Anything that moves through air reacts to aerodynamics. A rocket blasting off the launch pad and a kite in the sky react to aerodynamics. Aerodynamics even acts on cars, since air flows around cars. As one of most important roles in the modern science, aerodynamics is of great attractions to researchers.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring aerodynamics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Turbulent flow
• Compressible flow
• Multiphase flow
• Boundary layer transition
• The interference between in shock wave and boundary layer
• Eddy and flow separation
• Incompressible aerodynamics
• Environmental aerodynamics
• Subsonic aerodynamic
• Supersonic aerodynamics
• Numerical calculation and experimental measurement technology
• The applications of aerodynamics

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
