Special Issue on Radiation and Disease
Numerous epidemiological studies have proven
that radiation exposure can increase
the risk of cancer. Typical contributors to such risk include natural
background radiation, occupational exposures, nuclear accidents and many
others. Although radiation is viewed as a serious threat to our health, medical
use of radiation which is an important part of cancer treatment to control or
kill malignant cells can’t be ignored at the same time. Considering the potential
threat to human health and the important application in medical treatment,
appropriate management and operation of radiation seems necessary and significant.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring radiation and disease. Potential topics
include, but are not limited to:
-
Types and sources of radiation
-
Ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation
-
Radiation-induced cancer
-
Radiation dose
-
Pathophysiology
-
Epidemiology of cancer
-
Radiation therapy and second cancer
-
Protect from radiation
-
Treatments of cancer
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript
title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Radiation and
Disease” should be
chosen during your submission.
