Special Issue on Optical Fiber Sensor Research

A sensor is a converter that measures a physical quantity and converts it into a signal which can be detected by an observer. For the several decades, optical fiber sensors have sharply revolutionized communication industries owing to their high performance. Recently a wide variety of sensors such as DNA sensors, ultrasound sensors, chemical analysis sensor, biomaterial-based sensor, and wireless biomedical sensors has been used in engineering. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of optical fiber sensor research.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring optical fiber sensor research. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Application of optical fiber sensor
    • Fiber optic gyro
    • Optical fiber grating sensor
    • Temperature sensors
    • Multi-sensors
    • Wireless sensors
    • Optical fiber sensing technology

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Optical Fiber Sensor Research” should be chosen during your submission.

    According to the following timetable:

    Submission Deadline

    November 26th, 2014

    Publication Date

               January 2015
