Special Issue on Phytotoxin
Every
year countless people get sick or even die because of toxins that produced by
plants. Most toxins are secondary metabolites and the by-products of primary
physiological processes of plants. The chemical nature of these metabolites
range from low molecular weight compounds, such as alkaloids , terpenes, amino
acids and so on, to high molecular weight compounds such as proteins and glycoproteins.
Because of the close relevance to our daily life, further study on phytotoxin shows great value and necessity
to researchers.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring phytotoxin.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Poisonous plants
-
Resource of phytotoxins
-
Classification of phytotoxins
-
Separation and identification of phytotoxins
-
Plant defense mechanism
-
Diseases caused by phytotoxins
-
Diagnose and treatment
-
Food poisoning
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript
title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Phytotoxin” should be chosen during your submission.
