Special Issue on Drainage System

A drainage system is the pattern formed by the streams, rivers, and lakes in a particular drainage basin in geomorphology. An agricultural drainage system is a system by which the water level on or in the soil is controlled to enhance agricultural crop production. Sustainable surface drainage systems are usually applied in relatively flat lands that have soils with a low or medium infiltration capacity, or for lands with high-intensity rainfalls that exceed the normal infiltration capacity, so that frequent waterlogging occurs on the soil surface. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academics all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the drainage system area.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers to submit original research and review articles that explore the drainage system research field. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Surface drainage systems
  • Sub-surface drainage systems
  • Main drainage systems
  • Main drainage outlet systems
  • Drainage system design, construction, operation and management
  • Sustainable drainage systems
  • Combined drainage and wetland systems
  • Drainage systems in geomorphology

Authors should read the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission of an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System. Please kindly note that the Special Issue” under your manuscript title should be specified. The research field “Special Issue - Drainage System” should be selected during your submission. Please note the following timetable:

Submission Deadline

June 22nd, 2014

Publication Date
