Announcement of Journal of Minerals and Materials Characterization and Engineering (JMMCE)

After published over the past 10 years, Journal of Minerals and Materials Characterization and Engineering (JMMCE) is taking a significant step forward. We decided to join with Scientific Research Publishing (SCIRP, www.scirp.org) to operate JMMCE as of June 2012.

 

SCIRP is specialized in open access journals publications, which is currently publishing 200+ scientific journals in both online and printed versions.  JMMCE will be refereed under SCRIP as the previous operation. All submitted papers will be subject to a rigorous and fair peer-review process. The Editor-in-Chief will monitor each paper before it is accepted and published online.  We anticipate a turnaround time for each submitted paper to be noticeably faster than traditional journals.

 

Based on open access mode, SCIRP will charge a modest publication fee, which covers the costs associated with the publication process, such as copy-editing, typesetting, online-hosting of the published paper, and producing printed issues.  SCIRP may also grant discounts to authors from lower income countries, students or authors in financial difficulty, and will also provide publishing free-of-charge to some key authors in the field. 

 

We envision a journal that has a broader focus after we coordinate with SCIRP.
