Aims & Scope

JBiSE is an openly accessible journal published monthly. All manuscripts must be prepared in English and are subject to a rigorous peer-review process. Generally, accepted papers will appear online within 3 weeks followed by printed hard copy. The areas covered by JBiSE include but are not limited to the following fields:

  • · Applied Biomaterials
  • · Bioelectrical and Neural Engineering
  • · Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
  • · Biomechanics and Biotransport
  • · Biomedical and Environmental Sciences

  • · Proteomics
  • · Software, Tools and Application in Medical Engineering
  • · Structure-Based Drug Design

We are also interested in short papers, as in the form of a letter, that clearly address a specific narrow problem and in papers that survey problems and new results pertaining to a certain topic. Authors may be invited to write short papers on the same topic in more than one successive issue of JBiSE.
