Hong Chi is a professor of Institute of Policy and Management and Graduate University, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor Chi has published over 60 scientific papers and got over 20 years management consulting experience mainly in airline, banking, transportation, energy industries and public security. He obtained his Ph.D in industrial engineering at University of Liverpool in 1994. His current research interest is focused on emergency management which includes design of emergency system, risk management, counterplan management, resources location and allocation, and scheduling for emergency respond. He is also Chairman of Academic Committee of Institute of Policy and Management and Secretary-general of Emergency Management Research Committee, Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning, and Economic Mathematics.
