Rui Chen, double Bachelor degrees of science & economics from China Center for Economic Research, Peking University£¬Ph.D. degree of science from the Graduate University, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a associate professor and master supervisor both in major of management science & engineering and technical economics of Institute of Policy and Management, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
He holds the present offices of director of Capital Center for City Operations and Development (CCCOD), vice director of Center for Policy Simulation, assistant Director of Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of Natural and Social Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, vice director & secretary general of the Steering Committee of Social and Sustainable Development, Chinese Association of Development Strategy, guest Professor of the Research Center of Science Development, Chinese Public Administration Association, council member of youth federation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, member of Chinese Association of Young Scientists And Technicians(CAYST), consultant expert of the National Medium-to-Long Term Science and Tchnology Development Programme Strategic Research, etc.
He has also been engaged in research mainly referring to city operations & development, policy simulation, early warning & crisis management, etc. He has been in charge of or taking part in four state-level research projects, two international multilateral collaborative project, more than twenty ministry-level research projects and local collaborative projects, and has more than eighty theses published in China and overseas, also one of the coauthors in nearly twenty monographs and owner of six provincial and ministerial level awards including His awards include the National Education Award for Outstanding Achievements of Scientific Research-first award, National Medium and Long-Term Science and Technology Development Planning for Strategic Studies-important contribution honor certificate, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Award-second prize, etc.
