Special Issue on DNA Sequencing
This special issue on “DNA Sequencing” will be focusing on the latest development in rapid DNA sequencing methods which has greatly accelerated biological and medical research and discovery. DNA sequencing is the process of determining the precise order of nucleotides within a DNA molecule. It includes any method or technology that is used to determine the order of the four bases-adenine, guanine, cytosine, and thymine-in a strand of DNA. From basic sequencing methods such as chain-termination methods, shotgun sequencing, bridge PCR to today’s next-generation methods(high-throughput sequencing), the resulting sequences are widely used by researchers in molecular biology or genetics to future scientific progress or by medical personnel to make treatment decisions or aid in genetics counseling. As one of the most important research fields of molecular biology and genetics, DNA sequencing is of great attractions to researchers.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring DNA Sequencing. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
