Special Issue on Bone Tumor Research
A bone tumor is a neoplastic growth of tissue in
bone. Abnormal growths found in the bone can be either benign (noncancerous) or
malignant (cancerous). Bone tumors can be classified as “primary tumors”, which
originate in bone or from bone-derived cells and tissues, and “secondary
tumors” which originate in other sites and spread (metastasize) to the
skeleton. Carcinomas of the prostate, breasts, lungs, thyroid, and kidneys are
the carcinomas that most commonly metastasize to bone. Secondary malignant bone
tumors are estimated to be 50 to 100 times as common as primary bone cancers.
The treatment of bone tumors include Chemotherapy and
radiotherapy, Medication, Surgical treatment and so on.As one of the most
important research fields of human life, bone
tumor research is of great attractions to researchers.
In
this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to
submit original researches and review articles on exploring bone tumor research. Potential topics
include, but are not limited to:
-
Neoplastic tissue of bone
-
Hamartomas
-
Osteoma
-
Fibrous dysplasia
-
Multiple myeloma
-
Chondrosarcoma
-
Bone
pain
-
Bone scintigraphy
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission, Prospective authors should submit an electronic
copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript
title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Bone Tumor
Research” should be chosen during your submission.
