Special Issue on
Digestive System Cancer: Epidemiology, Genetics and Treatment
Cancers that occur in the digestive system include esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, colorectal cancer and so on. Respectively, they
caused 395,000, 700,000 and 715,000 deaths globally in 2010. Main treatments
for cancer are surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy which depend on the
location of the tumor, as well as the type of cancer cell and whether it has
invaded other tissues or spread elsewhere. As the high mortality of digestive system cancer, close attention and further
research show significant importance and necessity.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring digestive system cancer: epidemiology, genetics
and treatment. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Types of digestive system cancer
-
Signs and symptoms
-
Causes and genetic factors
-
Pathogenesis of digestive system cancer
-
Prognosis and diagnosis
-
Prevention and management
-
Epidemiology
-
Diet and lifestyle
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
