Special Issue on Advanced Research in Myocardial Infarction
Myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when
blood flow decreases or stops to a part of the heart, causing damage to the
heart muscle. Most MIs occur due to coronary artery disease. Risk factors
include high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, lack of exercise, obesity, high
blood cholesterol, poor diet, and excessive alcohol intake, among others. The
complete blockage of a coronary artery caused by a rupture of an
atherosclerotic plaque is usually the underlying mechanism of an MI.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Advanced Research in Myocardial Infarction. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Causes and mechanism
-
Symptoms and treatment
-
Prevention, care and control
-
Risk factors
-
Drug therapy
-
Associated with surgery
-
Acute Myocardial Infarction
-
STEMI
-

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Advanced Research in Myocardial
Infarction” should be chosen during your submission.
