Special Issue on Industrial-Organizational Psychology
Industrial-Organizational
Psychology is a branch of psychology that applies psychological theories,
principles, and research methods to the workplace. Its goal is to improve job
performance, increase job satisfaction, and promote the overall well-being of
employees. I-O psychologists study a range of topics, including employee
selection, training and development, performance measurement, motivation,
work-life balance, organizational behavior, and leadership. By understanding
the behavior of individuals and groups in organizational settings, they design
interventions that drive organizational effectiveness, employee productivity,
and positive work culture. This field bridges the gap between psychological
science and practical workplace solutions, contributing to healthier, more
productive work environments.
