Abstract: The breadth of vocabulary and the language comprehensive ability which were based on Virtual Situated Teaching of Vocabulary were investigated. The students who were taught through Virtual Situated Teaching of Vocabulary performed better than the students in traditional class. The high positive correlation between the breadth of vocabulary and language comprehensive ability was found. The research showed that language comprehensive ability was closely correlated to the breadth of vocabulary. It also suggested that Virtual Situated Teaching of Vocabulary was useful in English teaching.
