Abstract: The traditional teaching methods can not satisfy the need of the finite field teaching. The paper tryto discuss the finite field teaching from research teaching method .The research teaching method iscomplementarities and reach to the traditional teaching methods. It is very important to bring up the ability ofanalyzing questions and resolving questions for students. The paper first shows to be a reasonable applicationof the research teaching method. The research teaching method in the teaching process can only play the roleof finishing touch, can not be used, abused. Second the paper discuss the application of the research teachingmethod in the finite field teaching based on analyzing the feature of the subject of the finite field .Andcombined two instances, seeking the minimal polynomial of an element and finding a primitive polynomial,further explore the application of the research teaching method in the finite field teaching.
