Abstract: ZnWO4 nanocrystals were prepared via a hydrothermal route and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The results indicate that the morphologies of ZnWO4 nanocrystals depend on reaction temperature, time and pH. ZnWO4 nanorods with lengths of about 100 nm were obtained by adjusting the above reaction conditions. PL spectra show that ZnWO4 nanocrystals with different morphology have different luminescent properties.
