Abstract: Fe, Co, and Ni nanowire arrays were fabricated into the pores of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) template using a direct current electrodeposition method, while the remaining aluminum during the preparation of AAO template was utilized as the electrode directly. The morphologic properties of the AAO template and the magnetic nanowires were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and the magnetic properties of nanowire arrays were demonstrated using vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The results show that the magnetic nanowire arrays possess highly perpendicular magnetic anisotropy that could be improved by anneal treatment.
