Abstract: Two serials of waterbone thin heat-insulating coatings were prepared using hollow ceramic micro- sphere as functional filler. The result showed that fluorine modified polystyrene-acrylate emulsion had better heat-insulating property than polystyrene-acrylate emulsion. The coatings had better effect with increasing the amount of hollow ceramic micro-sphere. The temperature difference between measured sample and compared one reached to 6.6 ℃ as the content of hollow ceramic micro-sphere was 10 wt% in the total emulsion. The coatings with hollow ceramic micro-sphere had evident thermal insulation property.
