Abstract: Phase transition behavior and salt effect of polyamide with polyethylene glycol as the main chain was studied in this paper. By measuring the light transmission rates of different polymer solutions, the influence of its critical solution temperature(LCST) in the salt solution was identified. It was found that the polyamide solution occured reversible phase transition in a narrow temperature range, and its critical solution temperature gradually decreased with the increase of the polymer solution concentration of NaCl、 KCl、 NaOH and Na2CO3 resulted in a decrease of the LCST of the solution.Species and anions of the salts dominated the salt effect.
