Abstract: A facile synthesis of silver colloid nanoparticles without any stabilizing agent is presented.Sliver nanoparticles prepared by the reduction of silver nitrate with maltose. The average size, size distribution, and structure of particles were determined by dynamic light scattering (DLS),transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and UV-Vis absorption spectra. The results showed that silver nanoparticles were spherical shape, single dispersion and average diameter approxmately 20nm with narrow size distributions. The colloids with a UV-VIS absorption at 405nm,were stable for several months.Silver nanoparticles have a wide rang of biological applications.
