Abstract: ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles were prepared by the sol-gel auto-combustion method using nitrate as raw materials and citric acid as chelate additives. The results show that auto-combustion powders with the particle size of about 25 nm contain ZnO impurities uniform in both morphology and particle size. The particle sizes of annealed powder in air increase with the annealing temperature increase. Annealed powders have pure ZnFe2O4 phase when annealing temperature is higher than 650 ?C in air. Sample annealed at 1000 ?C in air has fine paramagnetism which Ms=2.569emu?g-1 and Mr=9.16×10-3emu?g-1. It was an excellent paramagnetic nano-ferrite material.
