Abstract: Graphene is a new reinforcement material of composites with its unique structure and excellent performance. In this study,we have prepared polyvinyl butyral/chemically functionalized graphene nanocomposite with solution blending. The nanocomposite had been characterized by scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, DSC, TG and UV photometer. The rerults showed that the approach behind dispersing the chemically functionalized graphene in a polyvinyl butyral matrix was to achieve good dispersion, and the Composite is amorphous. With the introduction of chemically functionalized graphene, the glass transition temperature have decreased and the flexibility have increased. The nanocomposite material has a good UV absorptivity.
