Abstract: The modified cenospheres were prepared in ball-milling machine by uniform method. The regression analysis of test results was carried out by Windows SPSS statistic software. The results of uniform test were evaluated by lipophilic degree. The relationship of modified effect, time, the amount of cenospheres, rotation, and proportion of modifier to cenospheres was investigated by the software. The morphology and the dispersion of the particles were characterized by lipophilic degree, sedimentation, microscope, FTIR, TG-DTA. It was found that the interaction among the main factors of modifying cenospheres system was revealed by the regression equation. Chemisorptions on the surface of cenospheres were found in the optimized conditions of modifying cenosphere. Finally, the formation mechanism of modified cenospheres is discussed.
