Abstract: From ancient private book room to the public library, the library itself is in developing and improving constantly. That is the appearance of the digital library. The digital library will not only cause the great changes of the library industry, it is also making a far-reaching consequence which is helpful to the spread of human culture. The big volume and small cubage of digital information carrier can save a lot of space to the libraries. It can also protect rare books, ancient copies and other documents. The particularity is that it is free from time and space of digital information carrier and the mighty function of it made the dream that resources being shared freely to be a reality, it is helpful to improve the efficiency that absorbing information dramatically.
