Abstract: It is the primal problem to determine the maximum installed capacity of wind power integration into certain power grid during the programming process. In order to determine the maximum installed capacity of wind power integration into certain power grid, a computing method that applying steady analysis and transient check computation is presented: the processing of wind farm node is to compute the active power according to the given wind speed, then to compute the reactive power according to the active power and voltage initial value, which reflects its reactive power-voltage character accurately in steady analysis, the disturbance of gust, graded wind and system-down are all considered in transient check computation to determine the wind power plant capacity. with the help of power system analysis software package (PSASP), which developed by china electric power research institute. According to the simulation results of an actual power system that the wind power integration capacity can be impacted by the power factor of wind farm, the link line, the layout of wind generating sets, the short-circuit capacity of integration node, the disturbance of gust and graded wind and system-down. According to the simulation results, a reasonable integration capacity has been determined, which can ensure the stability of power grid and the stability of wind farm itself.
