Abstract: MIMO-OFDM technique has recently received considerable attentions, which can not only substantially enhance the channel capacity and transmission rate of the wireless communication system but also effectively resist multi-path fading, inhibit interfere and noise. The research of MIMO-OFDM technique will be the central issue in the wireless communication system in the future. Channel estimation has been a research emphasis in MIMO-OFDM research field. In this paper, a lot of the channel estimation methods of MIMO-OFDM system are discussed, analysis and contrast on no-blind channel estimation methods, blind channel estimation methods and semi-blind channel estimation methods have been taken. Finally, the trend of research of channel estimation methods in the future is proposed.
