Abstract: Channel estimation is important part of the modules of LTE downlink designing, because only in the premise of the wireless channel’s current state information which can be estimated effectively, receiver is possible to restore the data which is sent by the transmitter accurately. Currently, channel estimation technology based on the pilot is studied in the OFDM system totally, not including the MIMO part . In order to make up the shortage of the existing technology, a new technique of channel estimation which is based on pilot is discussed and analyzed. Study of this paper is based on the simulation platform of LTE downlink. The response of time domain or frequency domain of the channel is estimated by pilot signal in this technology, then use it in the correlation detection of LTE’s downlink, power distribution of sub-carriers, equalization, adaptive modulation, etc to realize the new technology. Besides, a comparison among the channel estimation algorithm of LS and MMSE, the technology of two-dimensional linear interpolation and Gaussian interpolation is described, the advantages of the channel estimation which is based on the pilot are further clarified.This electronic document defines the standard format of the Chinese academic conference proceedings published by the Scientific Research Publishing (SRP).
