Crystallization is
the (natural or artificial) process by which a solid forms, where the atoms or
molecules are highly organized into a structure known as a crystal. Some of the
ways by which crystals form are precipitating from a solution, freezing, or
more rarely deposition directly from a gas. Attributes of the resulting crystal
depend largely on factors such as temperature, air pressure, and in the case of
liquid crystals, time of fluid evaporation.
In the present book, twelve typical
literatures about crystallization process published on international authoritative
journals were selected to introduce the worldwide newest progress, which
contains reviews or original researches on cooling crystallization, cooling crystallizers, evaporative crystallization, DTB crystallizer and protein crystallization, etc. We hope this book can
demonstrate advances in crystallization process as well
as give references to the researchers, students and other related people.
