Special Issue on Curriculum Studies
Curriculum studies (CS) is a concentration within curriculum and instruction concerned with understanding curricula as an active force of human educational experience. It is the name of an educational program in which students learn how to design, develop, and improve curriculum — the set of courses and lessons used by teachers or trainers to educate learners.
Specific questions related to curriculum studies include the following:
-
What should be taught in schools?
-
Why should it be taught? To whom should it be taught?
-
What does it mean to be an educated person?
Proponents of CS also investigate the relationship between curriculum theory and educational practice and the relationship between school programs and the contours of the society and culture in which schools are located.
In this special issue, we are going to invite front-line researchers and authors to contribute original research and review articles on Curriculum Studies.
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue — Curriculum Studies” should be chosen during your submission.
