Special Issue on Microbiology and Infectious Diseases
An infectious disease, also known as a transmissible disease or
communicable disease, is an illness resulting from an infection. Infections can
be caused by a wide range of pathogens, most prominently bacteria and viruses. The
study of microorganisms, the most abundant living entities on Earth, aims to
understand their unique biology and the influence they have on human health,
disease, and life in general.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. Potential topics include, but are not limited
