Special Issue on Labor and Delivery
"Labor and Delivery"
refers to the study of the process by which a baby is born, from the onset of
labor to the delivery of the fetus. This field encompasses multidisciplinary
knowledge from obstetrics, gynecology, anatomy, physiology, psychology and
nursing. Researchers in this field study different aspects of labor and
delivery, including the mechanisms of labor, regulation of contractions,
predicting labor onset, pain management, interventions for complicated labor,
fetal monitoring, maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery,
postnatal care, and perinatal outcomes. Researchers in this field may also
investigate new techniques or technologies to improve labor and delivery
outcomes, such as non-pharmacologic pain management, advanced fetal monitoring
techniques, and alternative birthing positions. The aim of research in this
field is to promote safe and healthy childbirth practices, improve outcomes for
mothers and infants.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on Labor
and Delivery. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
